THINK How to Protect Children from Exploitative Labor
When you travel you might be exposed to children forced to work
Children and young people are exploited in work places around the world. The ILO estimates there are 215 million child laborers worldwide. Children may be exploited and forced to work which keeps them from attending school and is damaging to their healthy development.
Consider if a child is being exploited for labor during your travels. If you suspect a potential forced labor situation, report it to local authorities, call ChildSafe hotlines or contact Interpol.
